ICS CONSULTING (PTY) LTD is a consulting industrial, civil and structural engineering firm.  Previously known as PETER STEGER CONSULTING ENGINEERS between 1981 and 2000, ICS was founded in November 2000 with P Steger as managing director.

We are mainly involved in the industrial sector and are experienced in design for plants, factories, materials handling, buildings and mining projects.  In some instances this included mechanical and electrical installations.

Both design and drawings are mainly computer based and electronic records and data transfers are commonly used.  Drawing programmers include CADDIE, MICROSTATION 8 and AUTOCAD.

Our firm has on various occasions carried out work in other African countries, which also included manufacturing  and supply of industrial equipment.

Our service adheres to the terms of the SAACE, Form of Agreement for Consulting Services and professional fees are normally charged in accordance with SAACE, Form B1

Typically we provide a conceptual design based on the clients project presentation.  We then proceed with the detailed design and draw up tender documents based on local SABS 1200 specifications and local General Conditions of Contract or International Conditions of Contract.  Handling of the project after contract award, i.e., cost, quality and time control, site supervision and agreeing of final accounts also forms part of our work.
